A few years ago, I attended a plant conference that was being held in Lancaster, just across the Commodore Barry Bridge. While traveling along Lincoln Highway, a particular sign caught my eye: "National Christmas Center, Family Attraction, and Museum!"
Fortunately it was one of those trips that I was grateful to have my "real" camera with me because right after the conference I was sure to make a stop on the way home. Upon entering the place, I was taken back many years to when Wannamaker's in Philadelphia used to make a "Charles Dickens" display for children to walk through and enjoy. To come here and see all the walk-through displays, to watch the huge display of toy trains, to read all the history, the antiques, the colors...I cannot explain the feeling.
If you and your family would like to make an outing and would like to get a wonderful feeling of the season, I highly recommend making the short trip, "over the river and through the woods."
